9 Killed, 12 Injured by Military Council Airstrike on Two Locations of Ngapali Town, Thandwe Township

On December 29, 2025, at around 8:00 PM, the terrorist Military Council conducted two airstrikes on Linn Thar Ward, Kyeinkan Kyi Village (extended ward) in Ngapali Town, Thandwe District.


As a result of these airstrikes, 5 people were injured, including 7 with serious injuries, 1 in critical condition (life-threatening), 4 with minor injuries, 5 deaths, and 12 houses burned and destroyed.



Subsequently, at approximately 8:35 PM that same night, the terrorist Military Council used jet fighters to bomb and attack Linn Thar Ward in Ngapali Town, Thandwe Township, Thandwe District. Four bombs fell and exploded: two on the Ngapali Linn Aung rice mills and two in the rows of civilian homes behind the rice mills. This resulted in 4 deaths and approximately 5 people injured.


The Military Council had previously targeted and attacked the Mrauk-U People's Hospital on December 10, killing 33 innocent civilians, for which it received condemnation from the international community.
