The 16th anniversary of Khamee National Day was grandly celebrated at a designated location in Arakan on April 27, honoring the cultural heritage and unity of the Khamee people.
Distinguished speakers at the ceremony included the Mrauk-U District Party Organizing Officer on behalf of the ULA/AA, the Patron of the Khamee National Day Organizing Committee, and Author Naung Aye representing the Central Arakan Writers Association.
The event marked a significant milestone in celebrating Khamee culture and traditions. A message of support from the Arakan Students' Union was read during the ceremony, which was attended by Khamee leaders, community elders, and a large number of local residents, many of whom proudly wore their traditional ethnic attire.
The celebration commenced with vibrant traditional Khamee dances. Speakers highlighted the historical significance of Khamee National Day and emphasized the vital need to preserve their unique history and cultural identity.
