The United League of Arakan (ULA) has led emergency rescue operations for flood victims from two submerged wards in Samee Town, Paletwa District, while continuously providing free healthcare services and medical treatments.
Yesterday, July 11, at around 2:00 PM, the ULA carried out emergency rescue and relief operations for 164 people from 31 households who were suffering from the floods in Ward (1) and Ward (2) of Samee Town.
These rescue and relief operations in the Paletwa region were implemented on the ground by officials from the Paletwa District Administration, under the guidance of the Chairman of the Paletwa District Party Committee of the United League of Arakan.
Relief assistance was systematically distributed to beneficiaries based on the level of flood damage their homes sustained, ensuring the aid met their specific needs.
One household whose home was completely destroyed (100% damage) received 500,000 MMK in cash, along with tarpaulins, rice, and feminine hygiene products.
Depending on the extent of house damage, households with 50% damage received 300,000 MMK; those with 25% damage received 200,000 MMK; and households with 10% damage were provided with 150,000 MMK each. Rice and feminine hygiene products were also distributed to each household.
In addition to handing out relief supplies, free healthcare services and medical treatments were simultaneously provided to the flood-affected residents of Wards (1) and (2) in Samee Town.
Furthermore, officials also collaborated and assisted in other necessary tasks to ensure that the rescue operations were implemented systematically.
