ULA/AA Distributes 2,000 Baskets of Seed Rice Free of Charge for Flood-Damaged Farmlands in Kyauktaw Township

It is reported that the ULA/AA is freely distributing 2,000 baskets (500 bags) of Bangla seed rice to help restore farmlands damaged by recent flooding in Kyauktaw Township, Arakan.

The distribution of these seeds began on August 1 through a joint effort between township and district party officials, alongside the Kyauktaw Township Agricultural Department.

Under the support scheme, farmers whose paddy saplings were destroyed by the floods will systematically receive 4 baskets (one bag) of seed rice per damaged acre, covering a total of 500 acres free of charge.

In early July, heavy rainfall caused widespread flooding across numerous townships in Arakan, submerging and destroying vast areas of farmlands and paddy nurseries.

To assist in the recovery of agricultural lands impacted by the flood disaster, the ULA/AA will continue providing necessary seed rice to affected areas.
