Two Killed, Including a Student, and 13 Injured in Y-12 Bombing Attack on Rathedaung

A student was among two people killed and 13 others were injured after the military council launched an airstrike using a Y-12 aircraft on urban wards and several villages in Rathedaung Township, Arakan State, the Arakan Army (AA) released in a statement yesterday, October 3.
At around 1:00 AM yesterday, October 3, the military council deployed a Y-12 aircraft to drop at least 20 bombs across urban wards in Rathedaung, as well as Pyar Chaung Gyi Village and Pyin Khaung Village.
The bombing attack killed 15-year-old 9th-grade student Ma Moe Moe Nwe from Taung Yin Tan Ward in Rathedaung Town and 70-year-old U Aung Kyaw Tha from Pyar Chaung Gyi Village instantly on the spot, while 10 other civilians were injured.
Furthermore, a Buddhist monastery, a school, residential homes, and farmland sustained damage.
Similarly, at around 1:35 AM yesterday, the military council carried out another air attack on Angumaw Village in Rathedaung Township using a Y-12 aircraft to drop approximately four bombs. The attack injured three civilians, killed two cows, and destroyed a residential house.
The AA stated that the military council continues to commit war crimes on a daily basis by launching relentless airstrikes targeting civilian-populated towns and villages across Arakha State that are non-military targets.
