Mohammad Halim, a top leader of the Muslim militant group Arakan Rohingya Organization (ARO), was killed within a refugee camp in Bangladesh, according to a report by the Bangladeshi news outlet TTN.
The incident occurred yesterday, May 5, at approximately 8:20 AM. Mohammad Halim, who served as the chairman of the "Halim Group" within ARO, was reportedly shot and killed by another Muslim militant group.
According to TTN, the specific group responsible for the shooting has not yet been identified.
In recent days, regional media have reported that some Muslim refugees living in the Bangladesh camps are calling on authorities to take action against such terrorist activities.
Furthermore, sources in Bangladesh report that other Muslim militant groups, including RSO, ARSA, and ARA, have been threatening, kidnapping, and extorting Muslim traders involved in cross-border smuggling along the Arakan-Bangladesh border.
