Security Forces Arrest Seven Bangladeshi Nationals Poaching in Arakkha Waters

The Arakkha Coast Guard security forces apprehended seven Bangladeshi fishermen yesterday, June 15, for illegally entering and fishing within Arakkha territorial waters.
It is reported that during a routine patrol, security personnel spotted four boats poaching approximately 500 meters off the coast of the Arakkha territorial waters.
During the pursuit and interception, a fishing boat carrying four Bangladeshi fishermen was seized about 570 meters from the shore at around 8:55 AM on June 15.
Shortly after, at around 9:00 AM, the Arakkha Coast Guard intercepted a second fishing trawler carrying three Bangladeshi fishermen in the open sea, approximately 620 meters away from the Arakkha coast.
However, the remaining two fishing boats escaped by fleeing back toward Bangladeshi territorial waters.
An investigation is currently underway to take legal action against the seven detained Bangladeshi poachers and the two seized fishing boats in accordance with the law.
