Military Junta Bombs Buthidaung Township Again

It is learned that the coup military launched aerial bombing attacks using jet fighters on the vicinity of War Net Yon village in Buthidaung Township, Arakan State—an area controlled by the Arakan Army.


Local residents stated that three jet fighters were used to carry out the bombing attacks today (July 3) at 1:00 PM.


It is still investigating the detailed information regarding damages and losses related to the incident.


In recent days, the coup military has been intensely carrying out daily airstrikes on the Bangladesh border townships of Buthidaung and Maungdaw.


On July 1, an aerial bombing attack was also launched on the former Military Operations Command No. 15 (SaKaKha 15) in Buthidaung Township.


Similarly, on July 2, the coup military launched an airstrike using jet fighters and a Y-12 on a prisoner of war detention camp near the NaKhaKha 7 base in Kyein Chaung village, Maungdaw Township, killing four individuals, including one military POW Captain.
