The terrorist Myanmar military launched two separate airstrikes on Kyauksepyin Village in Mrauk-U Township today, April 19, according to local sources.

The first attack occurred around 10:00 AM, with a jet fighter dropping two 500-pound bombs near the outskirts of the village. Later, at approximately 12:30 PM, the military conducted a second strike, specifically targeting the village monastery with two additional 500-pound bombs.

The airstrikes resulted in injuries to three monks residing at the monastery, as well as 12 local men and 2 women from Kyauksepyin Village. Local residents reported that one of the wounded monks is currently in critical condition.

In addition to the human casualties, the explosions killed five cattle and one goat belonging to the villagers.

The deliberate targeting of a religious site and a civilian area—neither of which are military objectives—is being condemned as a calculated act of terror and a blatant war crime against the civilian population.

On the same day, the terrorist Myanmar military also deployed three jet fighters to carry out separate airstrikes on Ponnagyun Township.
