India Arrests Senior ARSA Leader Linked to Pakistani Terrorists

According to reports from Indian news agencies, Indian authorities arrested a senior leader of the Muslim terrorist group ARSA in the Kharupetia area of Darrang district, Assam state, India, on November 26. The arrested individual is Munser Ali (Munshir Ali), a senior operational leader of the terrorist ARSA group.
He is known to be connected to Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the terrorist armed group from Pakistan.Munser Ali is linked to Pakistan's TTP and also to Islamist extremist terrorist groups based in Bangladesh.
Munser Ali is identified as an individual planning to carry out explosions to disrupt peace and stability in Assam state. Additionally, he is described as someone connected to senior ARSA leaders who are continuously conducting terrorist activities in northern Rakhine areas, specifically Buthidaung and Maungdaw townships.
On November 19, Thai authorities arrested a weapons smuggling ring that was selling and supplying firearms to Muslim terrorist organizations based in Bangladesh—namely ARSA, RSO, and ARA—at the Thai-Myanmar border.
During the period of clashes in Maungdaw township, Rakhine State, from May to August 2024, junta military personnel and ARSA extremist members arrested and executed at least 64 innocent civilians, including monks.
Islamist jihadist terrorist groups such as ARSA, RSO, ARA, and RIM are increasingly infiltrating and operating from the Bangladesh side into the Rakhine side, with clear intent to seize control of Buthidaung and Maungdaw areas.
