The airstrike resulted in injuries to an innocent civilian, Daw Than May Nu, aged 48, who sustained a shrapnel wound to the forehead. Additionally, three residential houses belonging to local villagers were destroyed or severely damaged in the attack.

This incident follows a similar airstrike carried out by the junta forces on the outskirts of Sittwe on August 16, 2026. In that attack, two civilians—a father and his son—were killed, and six other innocent residents were wounded.

The fascist military junta has been conducting daily aerial bombardments against towns and villages under the control of the Arakan Army (AA). These repeated attacks have led to a steadily rising toll of civilian casualties, injuries, and widespread destruction of homes and properties across the region.
