On August 10, 2025, Al Jazeera, a prominent global media outlet, released a video titled “Rohingya Mass Graves Found in Myanmar’s Rakhine State: Survivors Demand Justice.”
The video features Nay San Lwin as a key figure alongside another individual, Ansar Ullah, who is presented as an eyewitness but is identified as a member of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and has been living in a refugee camp in Bangladesh since 2017.
Al Jazeera portrays Ansar Ullah as an eyewitness to the alleged Htan Shauk Khan massacre. However, surprisingly, he is not from that area.
Instead, he hails from Nanya Kone village in Buthidaung. An elder from that village has provided testimony regarding his background, challenging the claims made in the report.
