5 Civilians Killed, 14 Injured in Military Junta Airstrike in Ma-Ei Town, Arakan

In Rakhine State, Toungup Township, the military junta carried out three aerial bombing attacks on Ma-Ei Town today in the afternoon, resulting in the deaths of 5 civilians and injuries to 14 others.
According to local residents who spoke to AB News, the airstrikes were conducted in succession today, July 19, with the first strike at 11:31 AM, the second at 11:33 AM, and the third at 11:35 AM. Three 300-pound bombs were dropped during the attacks.
The deceased have been identified as:
Nyi Nyi Zaw, age 34, from Ward No. 2, Ma-E Town
Mu Mu Htwe, age 35, from Ward No. 3, Ma-E Town
Ma La Pyay San, age 19, from Ward No. 2, Ma-E Town
Tun Lin Soe, age 17, an internally displaced person from Kularpone Village, Ramree Township
Nyi Nyi Htwe, age 20, from Kularpone Village, Ramree Township

Local residents reported that among the 14 injured, 12 sustained serious injuries.
The bombing also damaged one Christian church and 23 residential houses.
It was also reported that on July 17, the junta forces had previously conducted an airstrike on Shwe Yat Chaung Village in Gwa Township, dropping 3 bombs using 2 jet fighters.
