30 Muslims Were Arrested by the Terrorist Military Commission on Charges of Involvement with the Arakan Army in Sittwe

In Rakhine State, within areas controlled by the terrorist military in Sittwe Town, 30 civilian Muslim men have been arrested and taken away by the terrorist military commission troops, accused of having connections with the Arakan Army (AA).


Between February 6 and 10 of last week, 30 Muslim men in Sittwe Town were reportedly arrested by the terrorist military commission troops.


Among the 30 arrested Muslims are Shaw Bi from Bhumay Aun Taung Muslim village, as well as others from villages including Htein Chaung (Sand Stream), Dar Paing, Let Hsa Ma, and Sar Ma Nya.

On the morning of February 8 last week, Shaw Bi, the village administrator of Bhumay Aun Taung village, was arrested by the security forces of the terrorist military commission based in Sittwe. They are falsely accusing him of involvement with the Arakan Army (AA) and planning to open a case against him.


Muslims from Htein Chaung, Dar Paing, Let Hsa Ma, and Sar Ma Nya villages were arrested by terrorist military commission troops on February 6 last week and falsely accused of being connected to the Arakan Army (AA).


Yesterday, on February 12, terrorist military commission troops came to the home of Ko Chit Swe (age 40), a resident of Hman Si village, to arrest him. However, Ko Chit Swe managed to escape in time and flee, so he was released/escaped.


The terrorist military commission troops have issued an arrest warrant for Ko Chit Swe and are forcing local Muslim residents to search for and pursue him.

In January last month as well, the terrorist military commission troops arrested innocent civilian people under various pretexts, resulting in at least 30 more innocent civilians being unjustly arrested.
