Terrorist Military Wiretaps Locals' Phone Calls and Conducts Continuous Arrests in Sittwe

In Sittwe, which remains under the control of the coup-leader terrorist military, members of the terrorist military and officials from police battalions are inspecting local civilians' mobile phones and arresting those suspected, causing widespread fear and anxiety among residents, according to local sources.  

A Sittwe resident revealed that the terrorist military in Sittwe is wiretapping civilians' phone calls and making immediate arrests upon any suspicion, resulting in the arrest of at least four government employees as of July 20.  

A Sittwe resident, speaking on the condition of anonymity, advised that because the terrorist military is inspecting phones and arresting both employees and civilians, people are afraid to talk about local political events and the terrorist military's injustices during phone calls. The resident urged everyone to exercise extreme caution and refrain from storing photos or content related to the Arakan Army on their phones.  

Currently, the terrorist military is pressuring local residents from all sides in an attempt to recruit new soldiers and maintain territorial control, while openly committing acts of violence and injustice simultaneously, according to sources.
