Sittwe IDP Ko Zaw Myint Tun Wins First Prize of 75 Million Kyats in Arakkha Lottery

In Arakan, Ko Zaw Myint Tun, an internally displaced person (IDP) who fled from Sittwe Township to Mrauk-U Township, won the first prize of 75 million Kyats (750 Lakhs) in the second draw of the Arakkha Lottery, conducted by the Arakkha Lottery Division under the Central Department of Customs and Taxation of the Arakkha People's Revolutionary Government.
Ko Zaw Myint Tun won the first prize with ticket number 303243 during the second Arakkha Lottery draw held on August 1 by the Arakkha Lottery Division, Central Department of Customs and Taxation, Arakkha Government.
"This was my very first time buying the Arakkha Lottery, and I won. I am immensely overjoyed. I plan to make donations and perform charitable deeds with a portion of the prize money," Ko Zaw Myint Tun told.
It is reported that Ko Zaw Myint Tun is currently displaced from Sittwe to Mrauk-U, where he lives as a single man with his parents.
He added, "I would like to encourage everyone to participate in buying the Arakkha Lottery. I wish and pray for many displaced people facing hardships to also hit the jackpot. If you don't win one month, you might win the next, so I will definitely keep buying."
The prize money for the Arakkha Lottery can be claimed at the Arakkha Lottery Division offices under the Central Department of Customs and Taxation, as well as at designated local Arakan Lottery ticket outlets in the respective townships.
The Arakkha Government has stated that revenues generated from the Arakkha Lottery will be utilized for the development of Arakan including road and bridge construction, education, and healthcare sectors and urges the public of Arakkha to participate in purchasing Arakkha Lottery tickets.
