Arakkha Government Provides Free Medical Care to Locals and IDPs in Taungup District

The Arakkha Government conducted field visits from June 7th to 8th to provide free medical treatment to local residents and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Taungup District, Arakan region.

The Arakkha Department of Public Health screened and treated individuals for skin diseases and malaria across 12 villages in Taungup District. During the medical drive, 46 people were tested for malaria, with five testing positive for the disease.

Additionally, the ARE and the HDCO distributed complimentary CYC mosquito nets and conducted health awareness sessions.

The Arakkha Department of Public Health stated that it is utilizing its available healthcare personnel and equipment to the best of its ability to prepare for disease prevention, control, and treatment operations.

To maintain good health, the Arakkha Department of Public Health highly encourages the public to actively cooperate with healthcare workers, strictly follow designated health guidelines, and take precautions to prevent mosquito breeding in and around their homes.

The department strongly urges all citizens of Arakan to actively participate with a high sense of health awareness.
