Arakan Army's Fire Dragon Military Region Donates 10 Million Kyats for Rehabilitation of Kaung Tat Village in Namhkam

On the afternoon of May 31, a mining explosives blast completely devastated Kaung Tat Village in Namhkam Township, northern Shan State an area under the control of the TNLA, one of the members of the Three Brotherhood Alliance.


To aid in the rehabilitation of the destroyed village, the Fire Dragon Military Region of the Arakan Army (AA), an ally of the TNLA, has donated exactly 10 million Kyats (100 Lakhs).


The TNLA released a statement on June 1 stating that the warehouse explosion in Kaung Tat ward on the afternoon of May 31 resulted in 43 deaths, including children, and 112 injuries, with 37 individuals listed in critical condition. Additionally, over 300 homes were destroyed, leaving nearly the entire village in ruins.


The Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA) expressed its deepest condolences and apologies regarding the incident. It has also held a one-week memorial service for the deceased and provided financial support to the bereaved family members.
